Equipping government communicators with data-driven insights! Recently, Rayni Rijke had the privilege of leading a data communication training for public sector professionals. Together, we explored how to source, analyze, and effectively apply data in government communications. One of the key moments was our deep dive into Data Governance. We uncovered the critical importance of robust data management in government, emphasising that, while systems and processes matter, people are the most crucial element. Here’s what we covered: - Assigning clear data responsibilities across teams. - Implementing regular training for data stewards to keep skills sharp. - Establishing open communication channels for swift resolution of data issues. It was inspiring to see the group’s interactive learning and enthusiasm to bring these actionable insights back to their teams. Bixal is incredibly proud to share learnings and achievements from five years of the Feed the Future Knowledge, Data, Learning, and Training (KDLT) Activity. 🌍    As the prime, we worked closely with USAID's Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security (REFS) and our partners to support them as a premier learning organization through:    • Modernized digital knowledge sharing and learning platforms and tools.  • Design and delivery of engaging learning events and knowledge sharing activities that catalyze USAID and partners to connect and learn together.  • Strengthened capacity to visualize and use data in service of organizational effectiveness and so much more. B-Corp is looking for feedback on some changes to their accreditation process. To paraphrase Winston Churchill, B-Corp is the worst accreditation - except for all the others. It's the leading global standard and so this is important as the benchmark now makes changes. Fussy Dog is B-Corp certified but when I asked my LinkedIn fam for their comments on the accreditation I, of course, only had B-Corp staff and consultants respond - people who have a vested interest in seeing more people sign up. Maybe it's harsh of me to say but that's a sign of an MLM scheme. We wanted to know how we could be better, we didn't do it so we could wave a B-Corp flag and pretend we were perfect. We still have A LOT more we could be doing on this journey. If you are a consumer who cares about this kind of thing, I'm sure it would be useful for your input on this. Much more so than feedback from people (like me) who are drinking the koolaide. WARNING: It is a long survey. Clear your schedule for an hour at least.
