Gireve, a French electric vehicle (EV) charging and transport decarbonisation company, has raised €20 million from Partech’s Impact Fund, with additional capital from existing shareholders. This funding will support Gireve’s expansion in Europe and internationally and the development of new services like Plug & Charge and Clearing. Founded in 2013, Gireve connects mobility stakeholders with over 500,000 charging points worldwide, facilitating more than 100 million annual charging sessions. PIONIERKRAFT successfully raised a high seven-figure sum in its Series A first closing to scale its network of partners, ramp up mass production of energy-sharing solutions, and finalise and launch its next product generation. This new investment, led by First Imagine!, helps further develop the still relatively untapped solar power supply market for smaller apartment buildings. PIONIERKRAFT'S hardware and software technology provides an energy-sharing solution for residential building owners to sell solar power to tenants. The tenants thereby have the option of purchasing power from their landlord or the regular grid-powered electricity. "The company's innovative energy-sharing solution addresses the large multi-family housing sector in Germany, which has so far been virtually excluded from the otherwise booming rooftop solar systems. The Series A funding was led by Autotech Ventures, with participation from us via the UCL Technology Fund and BGF. Charging speed remains a significant hurdle in the adoption of passenger and commercial electric vehicles (EVs). Gaussion’s novel external magnetic field solution radically enhances battery performance and extends battery life.
