We are scaling in logistics! Let’s be real, when you think of geographic dispersement, complexity, and very specific operational risk, you think logistics. It keeps the world running but it’s very difficult to juggle. Please share for awareness. #safetyFirst #aviation Most importantly it’s NOT about being rude or disrespectful - it’s about ensuring compliance, consistency and integrity towards #SAFETY in every aspect of daily operations. #safetyFirst ✈️🫡🥰🫶🏻
In the aviation industry, maintaining safety is our top priority. As professionals, we often face the challenge of being strict to ensure compliance without crossing the line into rudeness or disrespect. Being strict isn’t about being harsh; it’s about being clear, consistent, and firm in our expectations. It’s about creating an environment where safety protocols are followed diligently, not out of fear, but out of understanding and respect for their importance. By communicating openly, listening to concerns, and providing constructive feedback, we can uphold the highest standards of safety while fostering a respectful and supportive workplace. This balance is crucial, not just for compliance, but for the well-being and morale of the crew. In aviation, every detail matters. Let’s continue to do our very best and ensure the safety of our crew and passengers every day.

In the realm of aviation safety management, teamwork is not just a concept, it’s a lifeline. It’s built on trust, a trust as vast as the sky itself, where each member relies on the other to uphold the highest standards of safety. It’s founded on coordination, a dance of roles and responsibilities performed with clockwork precision. It thrives on communication, the clear and constant exchange of information that keeps us on course and out of harm’s way. Together, we don’t just manage safety, we embody it. Time for safety! I worked for Conair 10 years ago, it was a great company with excellent maintenance and a solid proactive safety culture. They taught a procedure called the 360 Check. When dispatched you removed your chocks and locks and stow them in the airplane. Then before entering the airplane and starting you do a quick walk around the entire airplane to check for anything abnormal. I lost count of how many times I've seen pilots starting, taxiing or taking off with covers and locks still in place on their aircraft. 360 Check takes me 23 seconds to complete on a Fireboss. (I've stolen that procedure from them and apply it to all my flying now, especially ski work) Years ago as Chief Pilot of a coastal seaplane operation I introduced a policy of flying overhead your landing and docking area before landing. It was common sense really, with winds and tides, boats and swells, logs, and currents it was never the same landing twice. However not all pilots agreed, and sometimes skipped it when in a rush. One time a pilot crashed in unassessed, very rough water. The plane was destroyed, everyone lived but only by luck. After that I started timing my overhead assessments and on average it added about 1.5 minutes to the flight. Put yourself in the shoes of a pilot nearly killing 6 people and himself over 1.5 minutes... So how much time do you or your organisation have for safety? By the way it took you about 57 seconds to read this post.

When I first stepped into the world of aviation over 15 years ago as a flight attendant, I had no idea where this adventure would take me. But I quickly discovered that every day in aviation brings a new challenge, each flight has its own story, and that excellent customer service and safety are not just rules to follow, but true daily missions. Transitioning through various roles-from ticketing agent to environmental inspector and, eventually, safety and quality auditor- I learned the importance of attention to details, strict regulatory compliance, and risk management. I realized that a strong safety culture starts with each one of us, through our daily commitment. Today I aim to bring together all these diverse experiences to create strategies that not only enhance safety and quality but also inspire and motivate people to become the best version of themselves. I truly believe that people are the heart of any organization — and that a healthy culture starts with them. With passion for what I do, I'm committed to continuing to learn, grow, and share my experiences over the years. Aviation is more than a career to me — it’s a part of who I am. 🚀 #Aviation #SafetyCulture #HRManagement #ContinuousLearning
