After years of emphasizing how preventable hamstring injuries are in professional football/soccer, I may finally have the chance to prove it at the professional level. All that’s required is for the team’s management to commit to a $171 monthly investment (times 60 months) and adopt a slight shift in their training approach that I will bring into the club. After the Ourspace chapter closed, it took me a while to find what I was looking for next. Shutting down my startup was the most introspective I've ever been about my career. I thought a lot about what I wanted to opt into, and more importantly what I wanted to opt out of. Circuit is the outlier I was looking for - bootstrapped, profitable, intentionally small, and exciting yet sustainable growth. Equally as important, I was looking for a place that's as intentional about *how* they work as *what* they work on. And when I say intentional, I mean it: We don't use Slack, OKRs, or scrum. And there are very, very few meetings. All of this is by careful design. And takes immense courage to not simply mirror "normal" ways of working just because everyone else is doing it. It's this kind of nonconformity that got me especially excited about working with Jack Underwood and the team at Circuit. Onward!

No matter the sport, recognizing visible signs of concussion is critical for player safety. Here are the mandatory signs that require immediate evaluation after a head or body impact that affects the head: 1️⃣ Lying Motionless on the Ice – When a player falls without attempting to protect themselves 🤕 2️⃣ Motor Incoordination/Balance Issues – Struggling to stand or skate 🥴 3️⃣ Blank or Vacant Look – A dazed or empty stare 😶 4️⃣ Slow to Get Up – Especially after high-impact hits to the head or torso 💥 🚨 If any of these signs are observed, the player must be removed from the game for an acute evaluation in a distraction-free environment. Player safety must come first. As sports medicine professionals, it’s our duty to stay vigilant and enforce these protocols to ensure the health of every athlete 📋.
