The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission Power Enterprise constructed a high-voltage transmission and distribution system in the Southeast portion of the City. It is intended to serve existing and future customers with large power needs. AGS provided geotechnical, civil, structural, and environmental engineering services for Phase 3 of this multi-phase $35 Million Design-Build project. This phase entailed the design of a high voltage 230/12.47 kV electrical gas-insulated substation with a maximum redundant capacity of 62.5 million volt-amperes at 398 Quint Street, and pulling several high voltage and medium voltage cables in approximately 9,000 feet of duct bank, starting at Mission Rock Street and Terry Francois Boulevard and continuing to the new substation. #AGS #SFPUC #Engineering #Geotechnical #Civil #Structural #Environmental

Coordinate measurement; The coordinates of an unknown point relative to a known coordinate can be determined using the total station as long as a direct line of sight can be established between the two points. Angles and distances are measured from the total station to points under survey, and the coordinates (X, Y, and Z; or easting, northing, and elevation) of surveyed points relative to the total station position are calculated using trigonometry and triangulation. 📣 RSK Group Company MWH Treatment has completed the detailed design for Severn Trent Water’s state-of-the-art Witches Oak Water Treatment Works in Derbyshire. MWH Treatment “ Project Director Richard Thomson said The ability to view the project in such intricate detail, effectively being able to see inside the 3D model for the treatment works, offers real game-changing opportunities for project management.” The new plant will provide an additional average flow of 65 million litres per day providing crucial water security for approximately 224,000 households.
