Piercy&Company’s Post

In 1990, SOM completed Exchange House as part of the Broadgate Campus development. In 2019, Piercy&Company was commissioned by British Land and GIC to refurbish this iconic building that straddles the Network Rail tracks running north from Liverpool Street Station. Our response was to collaborate with client, artists, landscape designers, artisans and a mill in Flanders to deliver a site-specific, sensitive and beautiful refurbishment. Aspiring at every turn to respect the original design intention, our architects and designers worked to reimagine this icon and create an office exemplar of adaptive reuse and fitting for the future. Tomorrow we will reveal some of the stories behind this transformation in conversation with Kangan Arora and British Land for the London Festival of Architecture. We are really looking forward to seeing the lucky ones who snapped up the tickets! #ReimaginingAnIcon #BroadgateCampus #ExchangeHouse #adaptivereuse #sustainabledesign #LFA2024 #LFAat20 (c) Photo by Jack Hobhouse

Great project indeed! Thank you to all the team for showing us around and telling us all about the project development! The tapestries are definitely the highlight!

A great project to have been involved with! Thank you Piercy&Company for choosing Boon Edam! This was the first project to feature our premium Signature Speedlane, and one of only a few projects to feature Halo lighting within the revolving doors! A unique project, and one we’re proud of 👌
