You probably hear a lot "just do it". But you just can't. Here are the top 5 reasons: 1 / You are afraid of failure. Failure is part of life. Learn to replace the word 'failure' with 'lesson' in your mind. 2 / Fear of criticism makes you insecure. If someone's critic hurts you, this is your own inner critic listening. The inner critic is a shadow of a child archetype. Do the work to help that part of you grow. 3 / The pressure of expectations paralyzes you. You are running an outdated program. Talk to a coach to help you rewrite an updated one. 4 / Your anti-vision dominates your mindset. The vivid image of a future you’re trying to avoid overshadows your drive for positive action. Write your anti-vision. Read it aloud. Feel how it feels. And do something about it. 5 / You lack a compelling vision for your future. You won't consistently take action if you miss the vision of the lifestyle you wish to live by. Write your desired future down. Here are the top 5 reasons why you can't do it. (summary) 1 / You are afraid of failure. 2 / Fear of criticism makes you insecure. 3 / Your anti-vision dominates your mindset. 4 / The pressure of expectations paralyzes you. 5 / You lack a compelling vision for your future.

If you are an over-thinker, then you understand how it can be debilitating. I personally struggle with overthinking, and am always looking for ways to help. Fortunately, Ben Meer has discovered 5 strategies to help all of us out: Here are 5 concepts to limit overthinking (and live your best life): 1. Morning Pages (Julia Cameron Method) ➜ Empty your mind's confusing thoughts on paper to clear space. ➜ The secret is long-form journaling: 1. Block out 45 mins 2. Grab a pen and journal 3. Write stream-of-consciousness (unfiltered) — 2. The 5 Second Rule ➜ The 5s Rule improves your 'locus of control.' ➜ Count down from 5, and take action. — 3. 70-20-10 Rule (H/T Jonathan Mann) ➜ The top influence of creative success is the volume of work produced. ➜ If you're avoiding failure, you're avoiding success. ➜ Change your mindset with the 70-20-10 Rule: - 70% of your work will be mediocre - 20% will suck - 10% will be amazing — 4. Stop Looping, Ask Powerful Questions ➜ Over-thinkers tend to re-run things over in their mind. ➜ These loops do not serve us, so ask these questions when in a loop: • Am I present? • Is this useful? • Will I care about this in 1 year? — 5. Spotlight Effect (Cognitive Bias) ➜ We think people are paying far more attention to us than they are. ➜ Your freedom begins the day you realize nobody is thinking about you. — I have implemented all of these concepts to help me limit overthinking. These concepts really do work, and when used right are truly powerful. — ♻️ Please repost and share this with your network if it helped you ➜ Also, be sure to follow Ben Meer for more helpful content just like this

When it comes to achieving your goals or raising your vibration, the word 'believe' holds more power than ‘trust.' Why? Trust implies that you’ve surrendered control over the outcome and are dependent on external factors. Phrases like "I trust I’ll get that job," "I trust that good things will come my way," or "I trust the universe will look after me" suggest that the outcome is out of your hands. What you really want is to get your power back and feel in control. 'Believe', on the other hand, indicates certainty and personal empowerment. You already know the outcome will be favourable and, in your mind, it’s yours! Statements such as "I believe my offer will be accepted," "I believe I will get that promotion," or "I believe I will get a new car" reflect confidence. For me, believing feels like designing my future and being in control of my path, rather than just 'trusting' (or hoping) that things will work out. Remember FBI Agent Fox Mulder’s iconic poster from The X-Files? It read: "I want to believe." What if it instead said: "I believe"? Mulder spent the majority of the series see-sawing between belief and skepticism, searching for proof. He wanted to believe in U.F.O.s but had doubt and kept chasing answers. I guess there wouldn’t be much of a series, he’d be like “I believe. Case closed!”. I believe we need to be clearer with ourselves and change our internal narrative, shifting to more positive goals we can work towards instead of giving away that power. Starting now, I’m going to have a little experiment: when I catch myself using the word 'trust,' I’m going to consciously switch to 'believe' to see how it affects my mindset. Join me! Let’s see how this small change in our self-talk makes a difference to our outlook and positivity. #PositiveThinking #Mindset #Manifestation #PersonalGrowth

5 levels of self-awareness for transformation. The ability to be aware of thoughts, feelings & actions are unique to us humans. Deepening this awareness is key for your growth. Discovering the layers of awareness is a process. Each level represents a deeper understanding of yourself. And they can guide you when trying to change. 1️⃣ Recognise your common behaviour patterns. They are reflected in your visible personality traits. Maybe you often get angry. To change this trait you need to examine it closely. How often does it happen? What’s the intensity of the anger? How long does it last? What triggers it? 2️⃣ Become aware of your recurring thoughts & feelings. For example when staff aren’t loyal I get frustrated & worry they will cause troubles. This makes me angry. Now you’re aware of both thoughts & feelings. It’s useful to observe what impact your anger has on those around you & yourself. Is the anger worth it? 3️⃣ Tune into your constantly changing thoughts & feelings as they subtly arise within you, whether they are linked with insecurity, envy, greed, love, or generosity. This kind of self-awareness is crucial for change. It allows you to choose different responses instead of reacting in a conditioned way. 4️⃣ Notice the origin of your thoughts & feelings. You’ll realise your deep-seated conditioned beliefs. Then change your behavioural patterns at the root, and replace your limiting beliefs with healthier ones. 5️⃣ The final level is the most powerful one. It requires a much deeper dive within. It’s about becoming aware of your true Self. Beyond personality traits, thoughts, feelings & beliefs. Because you’re not your thoughts, nor feelings. Your thoughts & feelings change, arise & pass. But you’re not changing. Simply always present. You’re complete, whole & enough. Not limited to your finite body & mind. You’re pure awareness. Grasping this is a paradigm shift. Residing in this awareness brings wholeness, poise & deeper peace. In this state, chances of anger arising are much less. #leadershipdevelopment #strongandkindleaders #positiveleadership #growthmindset #inspiration —————— Liked this post? Want to see more? “Refuse to blame yourself for not being 'good enough'“ – John Mark Green – There’s both positive & negative self-criticism. It can be tricky to discern the difference. Negative self-criticism manifests as harsh judgements. Often unconsciously zooming in on flaws & mistakes. By consciously reflecting on these occasions, you can deliberately counter these thoughts by practicing positive self-criticism. Meaning choosing to see what you can learn. Any setback brings opportunities to grow somehow. If you make that effort. Remember, any shortcoming is always about perceptions. What do you choose to see? And how can you set realistic goals? Honest self-reflection is the answer to many issues. Develop such constructive behaviour & habits & you can use areas where you don’t feel the strongest as springboards for growth. Don’t let self-criticism hold you back. #leadershipdevelopment #strongandkindleaders #positiveleadership #growthmindset #inspiration —————— Liked this post? Want to see more? Helping Entrepreneurs build their business and grow their income through mindset coaching | Mindset & Business Coach | Personal Development Mentor
If you want different results, you must do something different. Doing the same thing, leads to similar results. Why is it so difficult to do something new? Habits. Paradigms. Patterns of habitual behaviour. All of which are programmed into our mind to make life easy by doing what we already know how to do, and avoid stress, fear and failure by avoiding what we don't know how to do or which appears challenging. These mental paradigms of the mind control what we do ... and what we get. In the book 'The Knowing Doing Gap', two Stanford professors point out that businesses find it far easier to keep doing what is producing acceptable results than to change and do something new that could generate extraordinary results. Because fear of failure holds people back from taking risks necessary for success. We are mentally programmed to find the safest routes through life. Finding a better, more rewarding way, usually requires a new paradigm: new habits of behaviour that deliver different results. We have to be willing to form new habits that replace the ones no longer serving us. How? Make the future more desirable than the present. Identify an activity that will produce the outcome you want Write out exactly what it is and why it will get you the result Begin doing the new activity immediately Ignore the doubts and fears that show up, and decide to persist Focus all your attention on the positive future and why you want it Make the new outcome so desirable, you can tolerate some discomfort to get it That's #ThinkingIntoResults #mindset #bobproctor

I help business owners break free from the Thought Ninja's that are keeping them small. If you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand. Expert Speaker, Coach and Mentor
🧠 "Your thoughts shape your reality, so what are you thinking today?" 🧠 Let’s talk about mindset. Ever notice how when you’re thinking positively, you feel lighter, more motivated, and in control? But when negative thoughts take over, suddenly everything feels like a struggle. That’s because your mindset creates your experience. Today, I challenge you to notice your thoughts. When you catch yourself thinking negatively or doubting yourself, pause, and flip the script. You’re capable of more than you give yourself credit for. 💪 Thoughts that are mixed with feeling or emotion constitute a magnetic force. So to attract what you want, deep feeling and desire must accompany your thoughts. I suggest that you do what Dr. Maxwell Maltz suggests in Psycho-Cybernetics: “Picture to yourself what you would like to be and have and assume for the moment that such things are possible. Arouse a deep desire for these things. Become enthusiastic about them. Dwell on them—and keep going over them in your mind. Your present negative beliefs were formed by thought plus feelings. Generate enough emotion or deep feeling, and your new thoughts will cancel them out.” Drop a 💡 if you’re ready to challenge those negative thoughts and shift into your most empowered mindset today! #MondayThoughts #PositiveMindset #Thinkingintoresults

"When you don't see others as people, you become unable to understand why they behave as they do" The book A͟n͟a͟t͟o͟m͟y͟ ͟o͟f͟ ͟P͟e͟a͟c͟e͟ discusses the concept of a heart at war when you betray your sense of the right way to act in a given moment. This act of self-betrayal puts you into a combative mindset. When you embody a combative mindset, you choose justification. You excuse your behavior by adjusting how you see yourself, others, and the world. You create a false reality in which what you have done is right. There are four justification traps outlined that perpetuate a combative mindset: 1. 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻: Viewing others as inferior 2. 𝗜 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲: Viewing others as mistreating you 3. 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻: Viewing others as judging or threatening you 4. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻: Viewing others as more blessed or privileged than you These traps put our hearts at war, in which we cannot see situations clearly and consider other people's positions seriously enough to solve difficult problems. Furthermore: 1. We not only invite failure but we invest in it 2. We begin provoking in others the very thing we hate (collusion) Here are a few tips to move out of this justification trap: 1. Identify that you are in the justification trap with introspection 2. Find people in your life who have the greatest influence on good in your life and determine why 3. Reminisce over music or fond places 4. Ask yourself objective questions to change your perspective Do you fall into these justification traps and repeat a combative mindset? What do you do about it? #mullthingsovermondays #careeradvice #management

🚀 Unlocking Potential: Overcoming the Illusory Truth Effect and Harnessing the Power of Positive Self-Talk 🌟 Have you ever considered how the stories you tell yourselves shape your reality? The illusory truth effect, a cognitive bias, reveals how repeated exposure to information influences your beliefs. Think Again! Controlling your thoughts and harnessing their power is easier than it seems. Once you have done intentional/purposeful thinking enough times it becomes second nature. The best example is the opposite – we have mastered that art of unintentional and distraction (Squirrel over there!)thinking. We’re really good at wallowing, reeling, or ruminating on the negatives, this is about doing it for the positives. The first step is to become aware of your thoughts—to think about what you are thinking. When you notice negative thoughts that undermine your highest ideals (Joy, Love, Truth), make a conscious effort to reconsider. Literally, think again! If you feel stuck in a rut, believe that no good can come from a situation, or see the world as a negative place, challenge these thoughts and think again. You have the ability to train yourself to do this, just as you've trained yourself not to. Think Again.
