Just weeks into my journey at Einride, I’m thrilled to share a groundbreaking moment for the freight industry! 🚀 Today, Einride launches Europe’s first commercial autonomous daily operations, marking a huge leap forward in sustainable logistics. Together with apotea.se, we’re deploying autonomous heavy-duty vehicles for freight between their warehouses in Morgongåva, Sweden. This milestone builds on a strong two-year partnership, during which we’ve already saved 917,000 kg of CO₂—the equivalent of driving 20 laps around the Earth in an electric vehicle. Some key highlights: 🌍 First in Europe: Fully autonomous freight operations adjacent to a public road, made possible with a public road permit. 🤖 Cutting-edge tech: Our autonomous vehicle operates by leveraging a comprehensive sensor suite for a 360° view. Remote operators are on standby to ensure smooth operations. ⚡ Sustainability at scale: Apotea has already reduced emissions and boosted efficiencies with Einride’s electric solutions, and this step takes logistics optimization even further. I’m incredibly inspired by the dedication of both the Einride and Apotea teams in making this bold vision a reality.
