Venti currently testing new cobot system
The dual challenge of simultaneously increasing both the quality and the efficiency of manufacturing processes is often best addressed through the use of state-of-the-art robot technology. That’s the reason Venti is currently testing a promising collaborative robot system – known in the field as a “cobot” – from a leading robot manufacturer. The system is equipped with a traversing axis that gives the welding robot a significantly extended working radius.
Programs for particular welding paths can be “taught” to the cobot and saved and then called up as needed, which ensures consistent and repeatable accuracy for identical parts while also saving time.
During the current test phase, the cobot system's apparent potential to improve the quality of welding seams has been particularly impressive – as well as its ability to carry out work in parallel, such as tacking on assemblies during ongoing welding tasks.
If our expectations continue to be met, the cobot system will be fully integrated into our processes and allows us to make further advances with our already high levels of quality and efficiency.
