So… maybe I owe Ted Jenkin $11,000… After signing multiple NDAs, Ted proved to my satisfaction that there are in fact advisors getting 10-12x EBITDA (with some reasonable adjustments), aka 6x gross. This does not mean that YOU could get that multiple, but rather that certain well built, growing practices, DO get that kind of multiple. 🤯 This is also not a walk away multiple, but the terms do seem in line with standard industry deals that typically value a practice at half these numbers. If you are seriously considering selling your practice of $100m+ AUM, give Ted a call. Be sure to say hi to him for me. P.S. So why do I owe Ted $11,000?
