We kicked off a mentoring partnership with the City of St. Petersburg on Friday. This program aims to boost the participation of City of St. Petersburg employee mentors. It allows City of St. Petersburg employees one paid hour weekly to volunteer at Pinellas County schools. About 50 city employees received mentor training and had the opportunity to choose schools, students, and times that work best for them. The Mentoring Matters match will help our students with social, emotional, and academic success. #PCSProud #MentoringMatters

1moAmazing strides! There are countless of reasons why St. Pete will always have my heart. Building on already-prominent strengths, infrastructure and meeting people where they are to pay it forward with care, creativity and true partnership and participation will make for a mutually beneficial relationship between present and future generations! I commend the mentor training too as the mentor/mentee relationship comes with responsibilites many often overlook! Well done.
