While current account switching remains popular, we’re seeing banks looking to lock in customers for longer, with increasingly complicated T&Cs. As I discussed with The Observer on Sunday, we’re seeing a trend of serial switchers emerging, but nobody should be misled into moving their money when they won’t be entitled to the full headline offer. Nor should they incur a hard search on their report without warning when they apply for an overdraft. What’s important is that customers are given all the information up front, in a way that’s simple, transparent, and easy-to-compare. Otherwise, we might damage competition in the market, and start seeing more people being put off.

Bank 2.0 refers to a new era in banking characterized by the heavy influence of technology on financial services. It's a shift from the traditional brick-and-mortar branch model to a more digital and customer-centric approach.
