Social Policy Researcher-Targeted Basic Income for Women and Comparative & International Education and Development
The fin-tech industry and its supporters, particularly a vast network of non-profit organizations, constitute a tragically delightful terrain of contradictions! It skillfully engineers problems through unfettered capitalist expansion, then generously dips into overflowing pots of money gained from creating these very problems to propose "solutions.". This mechanism, however, boosts its legitimacy. Then, the self-proclaimed solutionists label anyone who scrutinizes these issues as "negative". But should we really be surprised? After all, ours is an era of individualistic "positive thinking" and "growth mentality"! While the fin-tech moguls and their uncritical adherents staunchly advocate for "action," they vehemently oppose collective actions, especially those that challenge their interests, for they consider them disruptive to their missions. Another appallingly amusing contradiction lies therein. The fin-tech industry advances its own interests by precisely claiming to be "disruptive," fueled by substantial amounts of donor-driven and personal/organizational cash – all while vociferously asserting to be evidence-based and impactful. What a truly bizarre world we inhabit!

We raised 4 million $KLV in the ITO until today. While the token offering is still open, we want to thank all the legends that purchased their $DGKO. They got 1000 $BABYDGKO for every $DGKO. We thank you for trusting us. When you realize what a gem you have in your hands, others will say you were just lucky. But you're not just lucky. You see potential in us and chose us. So, we have a question for the new $DGKO holders. What can you say about your decision to trust us? What brought you to our project? Tell your experience and show that is not just "being lucky". Step right in. You can find more info on these two projects: Digiko: digiko.io Baby Digiko: baby.digiko.io

Did you buy the buzz? Solana is making waves in the blockchain world, earning itself the title of the "ETH killer." Firedancer, the latest game-changer in the Solana ecosystem, developed by Jump Crypto, a division of Jump Trading, is an independent validator client aimed at boosting network performance and diversifying software within Solana. In a jaw-dropping demonstration, Firedancer showcased its prowess by processing a staggering 1.2 million transactions per second 🚀. Yes, you read that right! This feature empowers Solana to handle transactions at lightning speed ⚡ without compromising on decentralization. But why does this matter? Even a fraction of Firedancer's throughput could mark a significant leap forward from current capabilities. By addressing scalability limitations and reducing reliance on a single validator client, Firedancer makes the Solana network more robust and resilient. Not to mention that SOLANA is written in Rust, and Rust seems to be superior to JavaScript and Solidity which ETH is written. Are you ready to join the revolution? #Solana #BlockchainInnovation #Firedancer 🔥

Django's anniversary is just around the corner! 🎉 As we celebrate, it's essential to remember that open source frameworks like Django need financial support to thrive. Supporting the developers who maintain these projects ensures they continue to grow and evolve. It's also a way to show gratitude for their hard work. 💪 At HackSoft, we believe in the importance of donations. We encourage everyone who uses open source projects to support the maintainers in any way they can. One of the ways we give back to the community is by actively supporting and sponsoring the Django Software Foundation and Django REST Framework. Every donation counts. Let's keep the software development landscape evolving together! 💫 #django #djangorestframework #support #opensource #softwaredevelopment

As engineering best practices around separating deploys from releases, testing in production, and observability-driven development have gone mainstream, the metrics-driven approach to telemetry has stalled, and it’s time for a new version: Observability 2.0. At #Devopsdays Porto, Charity Majors will talk about what this new version means for your engineers, and how to embrace this breaking change, during her session "Is it time to version observability? (Signs point to yes)." Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gp7NR4rE

Here are 9 things about networks and ecosystems you should know: For this report, we interviewed “groups of groups”, including coalitions, consortia, associations, umbrella organizations, and ecosystems. 1. We found that most groups were loosely organized, and those that weren’t had top-down decision-making about inclusion. 2. The needs most frequently cited were better funding mechanisms, ability to identify good actors, and the ability to find partners across the network. 3. The primary need is identification of good-faith actors. 4. Manual networking isn’t scaling. 5. Social graph data is low fidelity. 6. Reputation scores are evolving. 7. Centralization of power works great! 8. Loose networks and movements have worked in the past, but they may be inadequate for addressing something as complex as the polycrisis. 9. Competitive budgeting creates collusion and slow decision-making. Sideways seeks to develop and evolve shared infrastructure for planetary governance. We're continuing to interview groups and pursuing two areas of development: One is the Ostrom5, a solution for addressing conflict dispute and mediation among organizations. The other is an Extranational Identification system for groups to identify members of values-aligned organizations. If you’re reading this before August 21, 2024, and you know what a Gitcoin Round is, we’d appreciate any support you can provide whether it be donations in the link below, or just helping spread our message.
