8 months ago, I hired 2 salespeople instead of 1: why? If talent is there, don't miss out and recruit. For example, I wanted to hire 1 Account Executive in the beginning. The company I hired presented me dozens of strong candidates. In the end, I hired not 1 but 2 AEs because both profiles were excellent. Obviously, it's something that you only can do when you have some cash to upfront but it's a luxury move to pull out when you can, to not miss talented recruits. ---- Question: how do you approach hiring at your company? Rapid fire - here's the things I think Covert Recruiting does best: -We're genuinely nice folks. Fun and easy going but not cheesy sales dorks. -We really do know what you're looking for and how to find it. Our super high fill rate shows we know what we're talking about. (it's almost 50%+ higher than any other contingent recruiting firm I'm aware of) -More aggressive than most. You (as a client) don't need to see that, but we hustle like our mortgages and rent payment depend on filling your roles. 'Cuz they do. That's often not the case for the big guys... -Way better story tellers. One thing I'm pretty fanatical about is that we take the time to know our clients inside and out, so when we're talking to talent, we can get you the full story, the good (and the "bad"), and not just gloss over things. That extra detail means we all can be more confident in decision making. We've got some bandwidth for new clients coming up. I can just about guarantee easy fills for marketing, accounting/finance, and logistics roles. We're sitting on a huge pipeline of folks that are ready to upgrade and work for you.
