Today, September 30, 2024, is #InternationalRecoveryDay. It's a day to celebrate individuals who are striving to reach their full potential and bring hope to all those in or seeking recovery, and their loved ones. National Recovery Month may be ending, but millions of people across the country are still struggling and many do not get the help they so desperately need. On this last day of September, rather than simply looking back and reflecting on the work that we do, my hope is that this can serve as a call to action. As behavioral health providers, we have a unique opportunity to lead the charge in addressing this national crisis by committing ourselves to excellence in the field of substance use treatment. Each of us has a vital role to play, from advocating for patients who may be struggling in treatment, to ensuring that our interventions are based on the latest research and evidence, and so much more. Recovery is a process. As a leader in the community we have a responsibility to demonstrate this leadership through our actions. So let us move forward with purpose and passion, helping those who need it the most. #recovery #mentalhealth #substanceuse #community #PrincetonHousebh

It's common to hear statistics about substance use and dismiss them as insignificant. But consider this: in 2021, 0.8% of adults in California reported methamphetamine use. That seemingly small percentage translates to over a quarter of a million individuals grappling with addiction. To put it in perspective, that's half the population of Sacramento. These numbers represent not just data points, but real people facing complex challenges and struggles. Behind each statistic lies a story of pain, resilience, and the urgent need for support and understanding. Let's shift our perspective from numbers to narratives, recognizing the human impact and fostering empathy and action in our communities. 📞 714-492-1055 🌐 pacificsandsrecovery.com #soberlife #sobrietyrocks #cleanandsober #treatmentcenter #gethelp
