Never thought our first pitch would be proper Dragon's Den style. It felt empowering to get our idea out there on stage at yesterday’s 1st money-in pitching event with Chris Howard at Rare Founders Demo day. What amazing feedback we had! One step closer to the next step :) We still feel honored to have been selected to pitch alongside Dr Michele Veldsman, Philippe Bijnens, Yuru Guo, Chris Leighton, Piers Clark, Gustavo Hinestrosa, Usman Manzoor and Roxanne Pryor for a room of top investors. Chris Howard, thank you for this opportunity and the vibes you bring, Vasily Alekseenko, thank you for organizing London’s biggest demo day. Without you and your team, no platform for us, founders. I left with so many ideas and next steps! Putting ourselves out there has created more clarity in a very interesting way. To continue the list for my boys, here we go: Advice for my kids on how to build a startup (which they probably won't listen to when they are adults because they know it better and also AI and stuff, but just in case...) #3 1. Your pitch will never be perfect, just throw yourself out there and talk to people, it’s all about connections and opening new doors. 2. Don’t create too much pressure for yourself. Nothing is irreversible. Not trying is the only thing you can do wrong. The only one!! EVER 3. It’s good to be confused, it brings you closer to what really matters for you and how to stay true to your core mission. Have a lovely rest of the week everybody! Love and peace and more parents leaving the house YAY

Just a quick note on Term Sheets… A founder has just reached out to me asking for advice on some ‘interesting’ clauses in a TS they had just received from a VC… As a reminder you can download the Playfair standard TS here: https://lnkd.in/exM25Ugf If any entrepreneur has a question around term sheets - I know they can sometimes be a bit daunting - then please feel free to reach out and I will do my best to help! #termsheets #investing

Looking forward to tomorrow. Brilliant initiative by Unrest. What a line-up (no, we don't get to chat to every one of them of course). Stoked that Sara Gerard and I will be one of the 50 start-ups selected to have 1-on-1 conversations with VCs and angel investors. And we got in (despite or thanks to?) a deck that -on purpose- doesn't fit the typical mould (but does have the essentials of course) and got this spontaneous review by the organisors: "Your pitch deck was one of the most entertaining I've seen in a long time." Investors; if you want to see what that's all about, feel free to reach out. Happy to entertain you. 🙂 Now let's find out tomorrow what the investors think of the actual business...
