Skild AI, a Pittsburgh-based start up, announced 300M in Series A funding bringing them to a valuation of 1.5 billion yesterday.   Skild AI develops artificial general intelligence rooted in the physical world. From resilient quadrupeds mastering adverse physical conditions, to vision-based humanoids performing dexterous manipulation of objects for complex household and industrial tasks, their model will enable the use of low-cost robots across a broad range of industries and applications.    The caliber of Skild AI's investors speaks for itself as Pittsburgh continues to deepen it’s roots in the hard tech and AI spaces– Lightspeed Venture Partners, Coatue, SoftBank Group, Jeff Bezos (Bezos Expeditions), alongside leading VC firms like Sequoia and Felicis.     As they continue to scale here in Pittsburgh, they are looking to hire in roles across AI, robotics, engineering, operations, and security.
