🚀 New robotics initiative set to keep Denmark and Odense at the forefront of technology. Startups are the source of new innovations and can help change how we view the future. But, many lack the support necessary to develop their technology, scale their businesses, and turn good ideas into successful ventures. A new accelerator program, backed by 9 million Danish kroner from the Danish Industry Foundation, will now help emerging robotics companies thrive in the City of Odense. Selected startups will receive support from the Odense Robotics StartUp Fund and the Teknologisk Institut, integrating into Odense’s thriving robotics ecosystem. 55 million kroner accumulated by 14 startups related to Skylab Pilots 🚀 It all started almost four years ago, with a DKK10 million grant from Industriens Fond and a plan to develop a new model for innovation partnerships between universities, deep tech startups, and external SMEs in Denmark. Those DKK10 million have helped 14 out of 15 participating startups secure a whopping total of DKK55 million in investments and grants either during or after their participation in Skylab Pilots! 👩🚀🧑🚀 The program has, since its beginning, shown what’s possible when you create a platform where startups, SMEs, and universities can enter fruitful partnerships that accelerate new technologies towards real-life impact in our society. SMEs got access to new technologies and knowledge, thereby strengthening their competitiveness, and the startups got access to the expertise of said SMEs, thereby learning how to develop their product in close collaboration with a potential customer.
