The Research Corporation for Science Advancement chose Professor Aaron Leconte as one of 11 researchers to receive a 2024 Cottrell Plus SEED Award! Leconte, an associate professor of chemistry, is studying chemically modified forms of DNA (known as "XNA”). Leconte’s project is titled “Towards XNA PCR: Evaluating the Potential of Fusion Domains to Improve XNA Polymerases.” Leconte is exploring how to better synthesize XNAs.
