Higher ed leaders - does "taking time for self-care" feel like an impossible task? Believe me, I get it. As a leader, you're constantly juggling 10 different plates in the air. It feels like you can't possibly take a break without one (or many) of them coming crashing down.   And I know you might be tired of hearing “self-care isn't a luxury -- it's a necessity.”   But taking time to rest and recharge will actually make you a better leader and make it less likely that those plates will get dropped.   Because if you're running on empty, eventually you're going to crash and burn.
