Something definitely needs developing, but one of the main problems is supermarkets. It's completely dominated by profits, yet consumers are constantly being bombarded by recycling pressures. Surely in this era we can do more, from a production point of view !
Every Christmas I can't believe the amount of plastic packaging used on kids toys, last year there was a tiny 5cm figure in a 30cm square box with 4 separate layers of plastic inside.... probably costs more for the packaging than to manufacture the figure!
