The key in leadership roles is to ensure members of their team don’t lose that passion. I wouldn’t class myself as a leadership expert however I think there’s 3 elements imho to good leadership. Don’t micromanage or place team members under unnecessary pressure - the leader should absorb the pressure so the team member can flourish Empower team members to make decisions and own projects - mistakes aren’t a bad thing. You learn from them and become better at what you do Praise team members when they’ve done great work or have supported you as a leader - encouragement is empowerment

The ease, price, and accessibility of AI quickly outweighing the cost of hiring a human in the advertising space is such a big fear of mine. Need copy? Skip the email and the call with the copywriter and just copy-paste the directions straight into ChatGPT. In 10 seconds, you can get a whole paying day's worth of work for the cost of a $20 monthly subscription. Now that you have the script, do you need VO? Why book a booth, engineer, and voice artist and deal with all that SAGAFTRA paperwork? Just copy-paste the script into ElevenLabs, pick a voice, and hit generate. Remember, the growth of AI technology is exponential, so this is just the tip of the iceberg. Give it five years, and you can also skip the production crew, actors, extras, and post-production and create a custom shoot teaser with built-in VFX using Sora video generation. Then, go to Adobe and use their generative AI templates to create all your title cards and graphics. In ten years? Why even use an advertising agency? Just plug in your audience's user data directly into a Multi-modal AI and let it craft a 360 campaign for each demographic. In 12 years? They can narrow it down to each individual person. Then again, maybe I'm just being paranoid and consume too much sci-fi.

What a journey

Having seven years experience is such a great feeling and I want to learn more each day.

What is your role and how long have you been working at Uniplural Group? I work as the Operations Executive for Services and Hospitality and I've been working here for the past 9 months. 2. What do you enjoy the most about your role? There are several things that I enjoy in this role, meeting different people, different challenges and most of all the finishing product after our service (the before & after result 😊 ) 3. What strength do you feel like you bring into your role? I believe that my determination, never giving up mentality and past experiences in other industries help me a lot in making decisions and keeping up with the daily running of the sectors. 4. How would you describe yourself in just three words? Determined, team player and proactive. 5. What are your hobbies during your free time? Besides having some good quality time with my family, outdoor activities with my daughter, long walks with my very energetic dog 😊 and a nice action movie are the things that I look for during my free time. 6. What’s something that you’ve always wished to do / What is something you are looking forward to? Travelling and visiting different countries was always one of the things that I loved to do. Meeting different people and experiencing different cultures has always intrigued me, but since I have a dog, now my wish list is to travel by car to different countries together with my family and of course my 4 legged family member.

Are you feeling boxed in with your career? It may be time to let down some walls. I often mentor or coach colleagues at work around career development. Many times people will say that they want to grow but when they articulate what that means for them, their view is limited to wanting their same job domain but a level higher. Based on how organizations are typically structured, I have learned that this is rarely available. If you define for yourself these three (or similar) conditions - the same company - the same function - higher level you may be creating a frustrating mental box for your dreams. A key to growth could be to relax one of the walls. If you love what you are doing and the higher level opportunity is not open where you are, look around to see if that is possible in another company. Or, if you love where you are and your priority is to grow in level, consider a different function for a while to give you that wider base of experience to lean on. Sometimes, the dream in the box happens, but it may take a while. If you are spending too long hoping for that box, it may be better to let one of the walls down. What does brilliance mean to you? Are you ready to own it? This is not about showing off. It's about having unshakeable confidence and recognising your true value and the unique gifts you bring to the world. What are you going to do today to be brilliant? The Random Fortunes of Birth You cannot control the conditions of your birth. They are mostly random chances with limited influence manifest through the conscious selective decisions made by your parents (mothers, mostly). But while many genetic endowments may have been influenced purposefully by her; human sensory perception, as a tool for mate selection, can often be misleading. Fortune and chance can often unleash their mischief in the muddled marketplace of mate selection where transparency of transactions are not so well-defined nor dependable. But sometimes you get lucky to be one of those few who were bestowed with much good fortune at birth. Well, good for you. Thus, be thankful for it! But never ever confuse your lucky breaks at birth for personal achievement! While they may give you a good running start in your life’s race, you will soon lose that winning edge if you fail to understand and appreciate the unforgiving decay that universal entropy presses upon all things Now... if unlucky like most; don’t you ever ruin your life with regret and resentment for your unfortunate birth legacy. They will only hold you back from moving forward to fulfil the maximum potential of your destiny. So start reformulating the elements of your present; but begin with serenity and gratitude for the life you got and the given minimums that allow you the process of reformulation. Carpe diem!
