To answer the intriguing questions and clear the clouds of uncertainty, the Placement Cell of the Economics Department was honored to host Mr. Amit Kumar Jha 🇮🇳 a seasoned expert in Quantitative Finance, currently serving as an Authorised Officer (Quantitative Analyst) in Quantitative Risk modeling team UBS He guided us through the intricacies of Quantitative Finance, offering insights into the rewarding career prospects it holds, challenges an aspirant could face, and prospects it holds in the future. He offered a great opportunity by offering students insights from his vast experience about the role and responsibilities a Quant has, the advantages of having a career in Quantitative Finance, and the roadmap required to pursue a successful career in this field. The most important key takeaway from the webinar was his focus on having a real-life problem-solving attitude while dealing with mathematical questions. Our students were glad to know about the actual workings of companies and banks and could prepare for the future accordingly. The session was highly engaging and a great learning experience for all the attendees.
