To 2024 graduates struggling to land their first job. I know its hard to : - See your friends get placed at dream companies like Amazon Microsoft etc. - Hear daily taunts from your relatives on your unemployment. - See the dissapointment and fear in your parent's eyes everyday . Feel how they supress their own fears and try to motivate you so you don't give up. - Open up youtube and see youtubers flaunting crore packages and remote US jobs. And calling people poor for earning in INR when they could be earning in USD. I just want to say I talked to 2 graduates 6 months back. One of them had approached me when her mom had expired and she could not study for her placements and was having difficulty in interviewing due to her mental condition. The other person came to me asking for a referral. Her family being lower middle class had spend a large amount on her education and she was expected to get a job to take care of them. Today they work at Amazon and Flipkart . One of them also posts frequently on Linkedin to help their juniors on their journey and has 30k+ followers. Maybe these are 2 cherry picked stories of the ~50 people I talked to. But if you are struggling today how do you know it's not gonna be your story tomorrow. It's hard to wake up in the morning. Painful to sift through all the rejection mails. Exhausting to DM hundreds of people on Linkedin and not hear back. But don't give up.

Ever wondered what to do with all that free time during summer break? Worry not, I've cracked the code: Apply for random jobs you're unqualified for! My latest obsession is bombarding Google India with applications. So far, I'm 5 for 6 on the 'application not proceeding' front. Who knew that 5-8 years of experience was actually a requirement and not a suggestion? Initially, this was just a way to pass time, a classic case of getting stuck in an activity, hyper fixating on it, and going down the rabbit hole without any real purpose. But as I continued, I began to rationalize and attach meaning to this seemingly pointless endeavor. Each application is a learning experience if you make it to be: 1. I'm gaining insight into various job roles and industry requirements. 2. I'm practicing resume writing and tailoring applications. 3. I'm building resilience by facing rejection head-on. 4. Most importantly, I'm exploring my interests and refining my career goals. My naively crafted resume is probably giving someone a good laugh. Or maybe they're impressed by my audacity? Who knows, maybe by application number 36, Google will hire me based on vibes. After all, persistence is key, right? This experience has taught me that career development can be also about understanding what you want by first discovering what you don't. So here's to making the most of our 20s - not by having it all figured out, but by embracing the journey of figuring it out. #googleindia ##ProfessionalTimeWaster #GooglePleaseHireMe #placement

#Google #EntryLevelSWE #CareerAdvice #JobApplications Hey there! So, I’ve been thinking about applying to Google for an entry-level Software Engineering position, but I have three years of development experience under my belt. 🤔 Is this even a possibility? Here are some things to consider: Experience Levels: Entry-level roles often target recent grads or those with minimal experience. However, having three years in the industry could position you as overqualified for an “entry-level” role. This may make some employers hesitate. Salary Expectations: It’s great that you’re open to a pay cut; that flexibility can really work in your favor! But keep in mind that this can also raise questions. Employers might wonder why you're willing to take a step back, which could lead to an uncomfortable conversation. Resume Boost: Getting a FAANG company like Google on your resume is undeniably a fantastic move for your career. It opens many doors and can lead to better opportunities down the ro...
