Talin Shamun Darbrudy, a social worker with our Children’s System of Care, helped launch the "Love Roseville" organization this year, a citywide volunteer effort. One particular project that Love Roseville completed tied directly back to her work at the county — creating birthday cards for children in the foster system. 𝘐 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, one card read. 𝘈𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥. Our District 5 Supervisor Cindy Gustafson, CEO Daniel Chatigny and Deputy CEO for the Tahoe region Stephanie Holloway shared their thoughts following the 28th annual Lake Tahoe Summit from Zephyr Cove, Nevada. Placer’s leadership and staff joined both California and Nevada lawmakers to reiterate the importance of preserving Lake Tahoe, and key new funding initiatives were announced to improve transportation around the lake.

Our vision for an eclectic marketplace of shops and "farm to glass' amenities in North Auburn has won a statewide Award of Merit from the The American Institute of Architects (AIA), California. Congratulations to our Facilities Management and County Executive Office teams, working with developer @GriffinSwinerton and their design firm, Gensler, on winning an AIA California Award of Merit for design work on The Strand. Today our Board of Supervisors honored a pillar of our community lost far too soon. Over a career spanning 40 years, Aldo C. Pineschi, Jr. supported countless scholarship funds, local community groups and nonprofit organizations.
