My top three….. Beckenham Gyms! 1) Powerwave Beckenham is located in Elmers End and holds over 70 classes per week. Each class is a 20 minute full body workout, including strength training and high intensity interval training. Classes cater for all fitness levels and there are different membership options including pay as you go. Give a taster session a go for just £5! 2) David Lloyd Beckenham has a gym and a wide range of facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, group exercise classes, plus a club room, kids club and crèche. They also have a spa which is currently undergoing refurbishment. 3) The Spa Beckenham has 2 gyms along with a cycle studio, swimming pool and runs over 200 group exercise classes per week. A real variety for all ages and abilities - plus of course soft play for the kids! It can get busy, but it’s very reasonably priced. Which of these have you tried? While some high schools attempt to mirror a collegiate fitness center in order to better prepare their athletes for the environment to come, others utilize their fitness spaces to try and appeal to the broader student body.
