We have heard a few reports lately from multiple sources that we wanted to share with you. We have heard that Local Area Coordinators (LAC) and NDIA Planners are cold-calling participants/primary carers to conduct a "Participant Check-in". During these calls, the LAC/Planners discuss the NDIS plan, goals and ask how they are going. Unfortunately, the family is not fully informed about the purpose of the "check-in", and it is actually an unplanned reassessment meeting. This can lead to possible plan reductions. If you are a participant/family and receive one of these calls, 1) advise them that you can't talk right now, 2) ask for an email outlining what the call is about and what processes will be undertaken 3) advise your support coordinator, if you have one. #NDIS
