This week's #repost goes to Kevin Morefield!💫 "NGC 6726 | Corona Australis *** Stars forming in the dust. The little red Herbig-Haro objects are associated with star formation and often align with the rotational axis of the new star. The blue is reflected light from young hot stars. The globular cluster NGC 6723 is, I think, an unrelated happy accident. *** 32.6 hours HaLRGB data PlaneWave DR350 QHY600M PlaneWave L-600" Tag us at PlaneWave Instruments to be featured next! 🔭✨

Those using #sentinel1 data spanning trough multiple calibration baselines might be interested in how to retro-compensate the radiometry to achieve a consistent radiometric time series. The method is outlined in https://lnkd.in/ddkapCbB and samples with and without compensation can now be downladed in the #SAR MPC website: https://lnkd.in/dTPFDRGJ

The CHCNAV i93 GNSS receiver has been tested by NGS (NOAA) for its antenna calibration, which is the process of determining the point of reception of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) carrier phase signals. To obtain precise coordinates at a point, the signal phase advance and delay (calibration values) that occur at the antenna must be applied when processing the collected GNSS data. Antenna calibration by NGS allows users to further improve the accuracy of i93 GNSS data using antenna calibration data (ANTEX file). Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g6BdVrs #i93 #gnss #chcnav

How can a GNSS receiver be made more resilient to ionospheric errors? The answer is complex, but it can be summarised as having access to a more diverse range of satellite constellations and signal frequencies. Multi-constellation and multi-frequency receivers can leverage more data points to better observe and remove potential positioning errors. When paired with #GNSScorrections like PPP, the positioning system becomes even more reliable. The real world of GNSS signals is vast and intricate, with numerous satellites and signals in operation. While simulating every signal can be impractical, the simulation of over 1,000 signals remains a critical tool for GNSS engineers. By using Safran's Skydel to simulate this many signals, users are able to address the complexity of GNSS environments, optimize system components, enhance security measures, and ensure accurate positioning across a range of applications and industries. ➡️ Learn more: https://hubs.li/Q02nfNpb0 #ResilientPNT #PNT #GNSS #Simulation
