What is the price of being DEI specialist within Higher Ed while also being a person from an oppressed group? The price is tokenization, burnout, gaslighting, and daily racism… Education should NEVER be privately owned. Donations should NEVER dictate how a college or university operates and financial transparency should be mandatory. While they profit off their silence when a genocide happens, more and more of us are harmed by a system made to propagate distopian systems of power. We need an education reform ASAP, and powered by PEOPLE. And being neurodivergent in higher ed? Loads of daily ableism and an absurd amount of energy apent trying to cope with an unsafe environment with little to no tolerance to dialogue about disabilities. #freepalestine #transparencyinhighered #divest

Thanks to our donors, we have shipped a care package of multicultural crayons to the DJ DEMP Foundation in Tallahassee, Florida. These crayons will be included in backpacks that will be given to at-risk youths which will be stuffed with all of the general school supplies each child needs. The DJ DEMP Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization based in Tallahassee, Florida. The DJ DEMP Foundation was founded in 1997 by DJ DEMP. DJ DEMP is an international celebrity DJ, with a career spanning over 25 years. It is their mission to improve outcomes for at-risk youth and young adults through education, mentorship, skills training, and access to community-based resources and support. They work to eliminate barriers that limit opportunities. The foundation's anti-bullying program focuses on eradicating bullying, ridiculing, teasing, and harassment in school. Bullying has a serious and lasting negative effects on the mental health and overall well-being of youth. They work to combat the negative impact of bullying through social-emotional learning. They use music to address social issues. Music gives students a unique opportunity to express themselves creatively and build confidence. Music improves cognitive and non-cognitive skills and helps develop language skills in children. The foundation's workshops help kids improve memorization, and develop language and reasoning skills. They also help children build a better self image and provide a safe space for self expression and creativity. The DJ Demp Foundation believes that community engagement plays a vital role in its success. They hold that leaders should be the voice of the people they serve. Thanks to strong community relationships and intimate knowledge of the local community, the foundation better understands the needs of the people and the best way to serve them. Instead of focusing on growth and expanding programs, their focus is on investing in our organizations' core infrastructure, organizational growth and leadership. This applies to not only public school education but to the private school industry as well - NAIS independent private schools. @naisnetwork (they have blocked me from tagging them because they don't like having their ugly truth exposed) Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) Carney, Sandoe & Associates (NAIS executive hiring firms also complicit in pushing DEI) The Jane Group, a so called crisis communication firm protecting NAIS private schools from their misconduct. Rodney Glasgow, Ed.D. - leading the charge in pushing antisemitism through DEI in K-12 NAIS independent schools. NAIS schools actually pay him money to inject DEI programming into their schools. The list of bad of actors in this industry is never ending...parents wake up and pay attention to what these private schools are doing to your children. This is what has led to the explosion of antisemitic events at every university campus. This agenda is by design and has been years in the making. For those of you who have children in private schools, your tuition, your donations, your attendance at school fundraising parties supports antisemitism. https://lnkd.in/eQZ9Mfzv
