Do not make the unusual usual! Having a full time job is usual, and its not a bad thing to be an employee! Continuing your master’s degree became usual and continuing PHD is unusual, but its not bad as it depends on your career goals and your character! In the last two years, I have become increasingly frustrated about how chemistry is viewed. I saw this shared image (I forgot to save the OP to give credit); it sums up most of my feelings, but I'd like to add that. Chemistry isn't just: 👉Analytical. Chemistry is: 👉Product development 👉Product Safety 👉A Multidiscipline science. Chemists can be designers, project leaders/managers, quality engineers, etc. Like all disciplines, they can be specialists or generalists. I've worked across FMCG, Medical devices, Drug delivery, Medical therapy, consumer tech, and consumer health, providing insights, Product development, product leadership, and much more.
