To add to the conversation on rootstocks, here are a few papers showing mycorrhizal colonisation of vine roots is strongly affected by rootstocks. Maybe some of the vigour differences we see above ground are at least partially driven by this fact? And how are these associations affected by how we manage the vineyard floor?
