Some time ago, someone, probably Johannes López Ayala, mentioned that this “a” was probably the most accurate example of an “Identity Letter a”. As a designer, you often wonder if you’ve actually developed your own style, something unique that runs through your work. It seems that I have now, quite unconsciously, found my style — and that fills me with a certain joy and satisfaction. :) The “a” shown here is from the typeface Werkdruck, which I am currently working on.
