Are you maximizing your AWS EC2 costs? Let's delve into the world of AWS EC2 purchasing options and unlock the secrets to cost optimization and performance enhancement. Day 15 in my journey with AWS CCP: EC2 Purchasing Options for Maximum Savings and Performance Here are some key insights - 1 - Different AWS EC2 purchasing options offer varying levels of cost savings, flexibility, and commitment. On-demand instances are flexible but expensive, while reserved instances and savings plans provide significant discounts for long-term commitments. 2 - Spot instances offer the highest discounts but come with the risk of termination if bid prices are surpassed, making them suitable for non-essential or flexible workloads. 3 - Dedicated hosts ensure exclusive use of hardware, making them ideal for compliance requirements or situations where dedicated resources are necessary. Dive deeper into optimizing your AWS EC2 costs and stay ahead of the curve! #AWSCCP #CloudComputing #AWS #cloud #devops

DAY:13: AWS Elastic IP: A Key to High Availability An AWS Elastic IP (EIP) is a static, public IPv4 address provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that you can allocate and associate with your AWS resources, such as EC2 instances or network interfaces. Here's a breakdown of its key features: 1. Static IP: Unlike dynamic IPs that change every time you stop and start an instance, an Elastic IP address remains constant, allowing you to maintain a consistent IP for your cloud resources. 2. Reassociation: You can detach an Elastic IP from one instance and reassign it to another instance, which is useful for high availability and failover scenarios. 3. Cost: AWS charges for Elastic IP addresses only when they are not associated with a running instance. This encourages users to release unused IPs. 4. Recovery from Failures: Elastic IPs help make your applications fault-tolerant. If an instance fails, you can quickly remap the Elastic IP to a replacement instance. AWS Elastic IP helps ensure your cloud infrastructure is accessible and reliable, especially during unexpected downtime. #AWS #CloudComputing #ElasticIP #HighAvailability #DevOps #CloudInfrastructure #TechTips

🚀 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐖𝐒 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠!! Learn how to seamlessly connect your EC2 workloads with S3 buckets within the AWS network, bypassing the Internet Gateway for enhanced security and performance. Understanding the significant benefits of connecting your EC2 workloads to S3 within the AWS network is crucial. Typically, when your application deployed on an EC2 instance interacts with an S3 bucket, the request traverses through the AWS Internet Gateway, connected to your public subnet in the VPC, before reaching its destination. However, in my recent blog post, I delve into the steps necessary to establish a direct connection between your EC2 instances and S3 bucket within the AWS network, eliminating the need for the data packets to travel through the internet. Check out my latest blog post for the step-by-step guide! https://lnkd.in/gb7inA6Z Did you know? The VPC Gateway Endpoint comes at no cost! That's right - zero extra charges. So, you can boost your AWS network connectivity without worrying about your budget. Hurray for cost-effective solutions! 🚀 What’s next after setting up your Amazon VPC? [Project No: 0014/∞] Here’s a quick overview of how I launched resources in my VPC and sped up VPC creation ⬇️⬇️⬇️ 💻 Launched an EC2 instance in a public subnet, secured with a key pair. 🤐 Launched an EC2 instance in a private subnet, with a security group restricting access to public subnet traffic only. ⚡️ Used the VPC resource map to automate VPC creation. 📸 For a detailed guide and to apply these steps in your AWS setup, check out my full documentation below. 🙏 Thanks to NextWork 📢 Working on AWS or cloud projects? Oops, Lost Your EC2 Key Pair? Don’t Panic—Here’s How to Get Back In! 🔐 𝓢𝓬𝓮𝓷𝓪𝓻𝓲𝓸: You’re deep in cloud configurations, spinning up instances, and suddenly... you realize you’ve lost the key pair for your EC2 instance. Feels like you’re locked out of your own home, right? But here’s the good news: AWS has multiple ways to pick the lock (legally, of course! 😄). Let's see what you can do: 𝐄𝐂2 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭: If you’ve got a modern instance, AWS lets you SSH in from the console itself. No key pair? No problem! 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐡 & 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐞: Stop the instance, detach the root volume, and attach it to a working EC2 instance. Modify the authorized_keys file to sneak in your new key pair. Problem solved! 𝐒𝐒𝐌 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫: Did you know that AWS Systems Manager can help you log in without SSH? If it's already enabled, you can connect right from the console. Magic! 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐌𝐈: Snapshot your instance as an AMI, spin up a clone with a new key pair, and voila! You’re back in action. These mishaps happen to the best of us—but now you’ve got the tools to navigate them like a pro! #AWS #EC2KeyPairLost #CloudComputing

🚀 Excited to Share My Latest Project on AWS VPC and EC2.. Here’s what I achieved in my recent website hosting project: 1. VPC Setup: Designed and configured a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with both public and private subnets to ensure secure and efficient resource isolation. 2. EC2 Deployment: Launched EC2 instances for website hosting, carefully selecting instance types like t2.micro for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness. 3. Enhanced Security: Set up Security Groups to manage and restrict inbound and outbound traffic, reinforcing the security of our web applications. 4. Load Balancing: Deployed an Application Load Balancer to evenly distribute traffic across EC2 instances, ensuring high availability and reliability. Thrilled with the results and eager to explore more AWS services! Looking forward to connecting with others interested in cloud hosting and AWS best practices. #AWS #VPC #EC2 #CloudComputing #WebsiteHosting #TechJourney

Ever wondered how to keep your AWS traffic private and secure? 🤔 VPC Endpoints are your answer! VPC Endpoints let your VPC privately connect to AWS services without needing to go through the internet. Here's a hands-on project I did to create a VPC endpoint: ☁️ Set up a VPC with an EC2 instance and endpoint. 🪣 Launched an S3 bucket that only allows traffic from my endpoint. 🚪 Used route tables to direct s3-bound traffic from my EC2 instance to my endpoint. 🧪 Validated my endpoint setup by using my EC2 instance to run CLI commands. A big shout-out to @NextWork for their project guide! Let's connect and explore cloud technologies together! #AWS #AWSCloud #NextWork #CloudNetworking #AmazonVPC #LearningJourney
