PLF LTD’s Post

Huge thanks to Peter Kearney from PLF LTD for organising a site visit for our Level 1 Brickwork students, recently. The visit was extremely informative and allowed our students exposure to a real-life working environment. Together with their tutor, Kevin Harold, the students visited the Eric Wright Group construction site at Lightbody Street. On the visit, the students viewed the new and partially built town houses, apartments, and retail buildings. They were all given the opportunity to set brick that will hopefully be there for the next 100 years!    After the visit, Peter said “I thought the visit had given the learners a valuable insight on not just bricklaying but also Health and Safety on site and other activities such as insulation/fire barriers/DPC's” and it's certainly something that they can reflect on in their next brickwork lessons.  The City of Liverpool College
