We’re beyond proud of our staff who have come together over the past few weeks to collect donations for Fylde Foodbank. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we’ve gathered an impressive amount of food and supplies to help families in need this season. It’s that time, y’all—#GivingTuesday has arrived, the nonprofit world’s rebuttal to the consumerist nightmare of Black Friday. While Giving Tuesday is recognized globally, for me, it symbolizes the profound impact of grassroots community support—the belief that, together, we can effect real, lasting change. Big Big Table Community Café is proof of this power. In a world that prioritizes profit over people, spaces like ours are rare—when they should be the norm. Food insecurity exists not because of scarcity, but because of systemic inequities. At BBT, we are committed to fostering a space where mutual aid and community care take precedence over market logic. Because EVERYONE deserves a seat at the table. Community work is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain. If you are willing and able, please consider supporting Big Big Table today. This is about more than charity—it’s about solidarity, dignity, and justice. Learn more and donate here: https://lnkd.in/emMCXqks In a city that claims to be full of good neighbors, choose to be one not just today, but every day. And remember… it’s better to give than to receive—especially when it’s tax deductible ;) #GivingTuesday #FoodJustice #CommunityCare #SolidarityNotCharity #BuffaloNY #NonprofitImpact #PayItForward #EverybodyEats #MutualAid #DignityForAll #SupportLocalNonprofits #EndFoodInsecurity #BuffaloNY #SocialJustice #BuildingCommunity

Did you know that 47 million people in America face hunger? My company, Artisan Learning, is teaming up with Feeding America this holiday season to help chip away at that number. Feeding America is part of a nationwide network of food banks, food pantries and community-based organizations in the United States working to create a future where no one is hungry. $1 to Feeding American can provide at least 10 meals. How is that possible? (That's what I wanted to know.) One way is that they work with the food industry to rescue food that would otherwise go to waste. That's a win-win in my book. Please take a minute to donate $5, $10, $20 or more to our fundraiser. Artisan will be matching donations, so your gift will go even farther. https://lnkd.in/ebw-6Ku4

Looking for ways to give back to your community? Here are a few….
I spent the last few days in Pennsylvania for a Marketing Strategy Meeting. Once again, I saw first-hand this credit union’s dedication to community outreach, as they’re currently managing three holiday charity projects: Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, and a donation drive for Arise Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County to assemble Christmas Eve Family Boxes. I gladly took a small donation to make sure a few kiddos at the shelter had some fun games for Christmas. What’s even more impactful is Branch Manager Lisa Magee's collaboration with Arise to offer financial education workshops. These sessions will empower women in the shelter, as well as those transitioning out, with the tools and knowledge they need to build financial independence. A big shoutout to GNC Community Federal Credit Union CEO Julia G. and her incredible team - Cheri Sabino, CCUFC, Lisa Magee and Renae Colaizzi - for their unwavering commitment to making a big difference in their community! #PeopleHelpingPeople #CreditUnionDifference #CreditUnions #CommunityOutreach

Crisis, such as the tragic fires in and around Ruidoso, reveal the character of people and businesses. Such as the extreme leadership of MATI’s Godfrey Enjady working tirelessly with friends, such as PVT’s James Meyers, to restore vital communications within and outside of their own service areas. Or the local businesses working together to meet the needs of those impacted. Local businesses matter and will be there when needed. I so appreciate the efforts of PVT’s employees organizing this effort to bring supplies to those in need. Chris & Tabitha Davis , Cassie Florez , Daniel Rodriguez, SHRM-CP and Ross Horner.
PVT would like to thank people in our communities for dropping off donations, and special thanks to Oasis Christian Fellowship in Carlsbad. Last night, PVT employees delivered the first truckload to the Mescalero Community Center. Two more truckloads to follow.

Housing - A Basic Human Right: It’s easy to dismiss those experiencing homelessness as outcasts, often thinking, “Just go get a job,” without acknowledging the complex circumstances many face. In a society heavily reliant on credit, many individuals cannot secure housing simply because of poor credit—a barrier stemming from a lack of financial literacy, a skill not everyone is taught. Managing money, building credit, and navigating financial systems are relatively modern concepts and can feel foreign, especially when compared to societies where credit is not the primary pathway to housing, such as in parts of Africa or other regions with different economic systems. Moreover, mental health struggles add another layer of difficulty. Some individuals cannot maintain stable housing due to challenges with mental health, yet Western society often expects everyone to achieve perfect mental health, an excellent credit score, and impeccable money management to be deemed “acceptable.” This expectation is far removed from the reality of the human condition, where many factors, often beyond one’s control, impact stability. This is why organizations like St. Joseph Center are vital. They help people experiencing homelessness—families, individuals, and children—transition from the streets into housing. Housing is not a privilege; it’s a basic human right. This holiday season, regardless of political views, consider donating to the St. Joseph Center. They are making an undeniable difference in the lives of many, proving that we are all interconnected. What affects one human being affects us all. By supporting organizations like this, we not only provide shelter but also empower individuals to thrive, dream, and contribute to a stronger economy. Together, we can make a significant impact on our society. When people’s basic needs, like housing, are met, the entire community benefits. Together, let’s support the mission to end homelessness and create a society where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity, a fundamental right that we all deserve. Let's show our empathy and compassion by supporting this cause.
🎂✨ Celebrating Jimmy Kimmel today! In honor of his birthday, he and Molly McNearney are generously matching $50,000 in donations to support families in need through St. Joseph Center! Every contribution counts—$50 can provide a holiday meal for a family of four. We are grateful for Jimmy and Molly, for their ongoing support! ❤️ Double your impact to help families in need here: https://lnkd.in/gjHsmAs6
