A secure environment for safe drone testing 🦺   Now that we have developed two solutions—one that establishes dynamic or flexible no-fly zones and the other that detects human presence in the test area—it is time to combine them, as we need to determine whether our CTO can walk through the test area without being struck by the drones.   This is the final video in our short holiday series, showcasing how our technical team utilises and tests no-fly zone technology in the office. To move an elephant herd this size out of settlements is quite a daunting task. Drones have significantly improved Mara Elephant Project ranger’s ability to respond giving them an eye in the sky to herd elephants out of fenced farms and back to safety. Recently, the MEP mobile ranger team moved a herd of over 50 individuals out of human settlements using one single drone. In 2024, MEP is aiming to increase our fleet of drones to include two drones per ranger team which enables our rangers to respond simultaneously in operations like this where a large herd is involved.
