What do our power generation control systems actually do? We put together this brief overview to help you understand 📽⚡ You will regularly see us showcase our beautiful control systems and LV switchgear panels here on LinkedIn, but do you know what their purpose is? Not everyone does so we thought we would try something different this week and help give some context to those of you who may not necessarily be aware with a generic example scenario. For around the last hundred years the world has been almost totally dependent on electricity to function. For businesses, this power must be completely dependable. While it may be a minor inconvenience for some, in particularly smaller businesses, for others, even being off for 10 minutes could result in millions of £/$/€ worth of losses. Our control panels, at their core, ensure that an automatic process is conducted whereby should the grid utility supply fail, backup sources of power generation can start and take over the site load. This example is just one process that our control panels provide for, in reality they perform many different functions instead of or in addition to the given scenario.
