I help organizations create spaces where people want to be | design, research, strategy, furniture, neuroscience | Director of Ideation @ PMC

I’ve been in the workplace design biz for 28 years. Does that make me an expert? Maybe, maybe not. But what I do know is that all these years of experience have given me a wealth of insights—and a deep desire to make a lasting impact on people’s work lives. I began my career at full speed, working with a top-tier architectural and design firm. I was fortunate to learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry, designing workplaces for Fortune 500 companies and scrappy tech start-ups alike. Those experiences shaped my foundation in design. Today, I leverage that expertise a little differently. Here’s the gist. I’m about to celebrate a milestone birthday (a selfie and age reveal—who even am I😲). But beyond the celebrations, this milestone brought me face-to-face with a personal topic: brain health. My family has a history of Alzheimer’s, and I’ve made it my mission to understand how to protect my mind. I dove deep into the science—uncovering not only insights about cognitive health but also reinforcing a fascinating connection to workplace design. The thing is, the spaces we create don’t just influence productivity; they can profoundly impact how our brains function. From focus and creativity to overall cognitive well-being, the built environment plays a critical role. We’re in a pivotal moment. Organizations are rethinking how we work, real estate strategies are evolving, and workplace productivity is under the microscope. Leaders are grappling with uncertainty, trying to make informed decisions amidst all the noise. That’s where I come in. My mission? To cut through the chaos and bring clarity—creating space solutions that don’t just look good but also work for the people inside them. By incorporating science-based, human-centric solutions, I’m helping organizations create environments that unlock productivity, foster well-being, and future-proof the most critical asset of all: our brains. Here’s to designing smarter, healthier spaces—and a future where work works for everyone. PS – if you have questions or want to learn more, let’s connect! Better yet, let’s set up a visit to our office where I can show you firsthand how we created a space that works for us. Or, simply follow if you want to learn things that might blow your brain 🤯

Stating the obvious, your post is deeply personal. Seeing the interplay between cognitive health and the built environment is powerful, especially as we navigate this transformative period in working and living. It’s not just about aesthetics but creating spaces that truly serve the people in them—spaces that enhance focus, foster creativity, and prioritize well-being. As someone deeply interested in how design impacts behavior and outcomes, I applaud your approach and willingness to share your mission. Your work cuts through the noise and offers clarity when organizations need it most. Your work honors our family’s story and lays the groundwork for a future where workplaces support both productivity and cognitive health. Here’s to designing spaces that make life—and work—not just possible, but better. Keep leading the charge!
