It’s National Intern Day! And at The Korte Company, it’s another day for interns to experience the real world. We call it Thursday. That’s because every day, our interns see first-hand what it’s like to work, think, and prepare for their careers in the construction industry. Excited to share the successful completion of my internship at KEC International, in Planning and coordination, a journey filled with learning and growth. Throughout the journey, I was mentored by my senior and Project Manager who always had my back and always supported me. They all were very sweet and respectful. Thanks to Anjali Doiphode mam who always showed her support and made me feel motivated throughout my internship. Also I would like thanks infini Institute of Construction Project Management for giving me this opportunity. The most valuable skills I've acquired during my internship: - Efficient project planning. - Effective team collaboration. - Crisis management. - Effective Communication. - Risk Management.

Seeing my face here as one of the graduates is a mixed feeling. I remember the excitement of applying for the ABMPX project management internship program and the anticipation on the first day of the internship. The first few weeks were filled with enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. By week four, the reality of what I signed up for began to set in. The teamwork was the real challenge—trying to align with different people at various times and locations while meeting assignment deadlines, Phew! There were moments when I felt like giving up, but I reminded myself, "Ozioma, you have come too far." The late-night study sessions each week were tough, especially balancing work and often dozing off, only to start again because I lost track. The constant effort to encourage team members to contribute and resolving conflicts was no small feat. Despite the challenges, there were moments of relief, like the games in some assignments, and the anxiety of hitting the submit button for weekly tests is something I won’t miss. Our Sunday catch-ups, team appreciation, and motivation are things I will definitely miss. I was so sure that after this, I was done learning. But it’s safe to say, "Never say never." Something is cooking... ABPMX Internship Update (Week 9) We’ve gradually come to the project closure phase at ABPMX internship. This week, we're rounding up our project and ensuring all deliverables are met. Here's what we're focusing on: Project Close-Out Report: Documenting the overall project performance and summarizing achievements. Lessons Learned Register: gathering insights and experiences gained during the project to inform future initiatives. This includes identifying what went well, their impacts and recommendations. Project Budget Reconciliation: Reviewing and reconciling the project budget to ensure all expenses are accounted for and financial goals are met. Team Evaluation: Assessing team performance and individual contributions, highlighting strengths and identifying areas for development. Archiving Project Documentation: Organizing and securely storing all project documents for future reference.
