We’re not swimming in cash 💸, we’re doing things a bit differently with our property business. Unlike the typical property flippers, our goal isn’t to renovate everything within 6 months. Unless we hit the jackpot (fingers crossed 🤞), you won’t see rapid changes overnight. But trust us, you’ll notice the progress! We have a plan: save up a bit, upgrade a bit. So far, we've heavily focused on improving and modernizing the communal areas of the building. Next up, we’re tackling the rooms, swapping out single beds for doubles, and updating furniture and curtains. We'd love to revamp everything all at once, but taking it slow has its perks. We can test items to ensure they last and experiment with colours to see what works best. Plus, it gives us time to really understand what our guests want versus what we think they need. Our main reason for taking it slow is our family. By spreading the renovations over 10-15 years, we can balance working on our property with being present for our kids during their school years. We’re consistently planning and working towards small goals that build up to our bigger dreams, all while letting life happen. That’s the beauty of having your own business. You get to decide.
