"It’s great to work with a company that cares about you and the right thing. That helps with all the opportunities you can have when going somewhere, moving up quickly, and working for a company that wants to do things the right way." —Patrick Larson, POET–Arthur EH&S Specialist Read more about EH&S Specialist Patrick Larson at https://bit.ly/3zwmjrB.

I Help Global Organisations build a Neurodivergent friendly Internal Comms Strategy to Foster Collaboration, Build Trust, & Improve Productivity | Expert in comms for Neurodiversity | Author & Podcast Host MA, PGDip, BA
LET'S DO SOME JUDGING.... 🔵 Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" Matthew 7 Well, indeed.... 🔵 How guilty are we of judging others through the most harsh lens when we have not applied the same scrutiny to our own behaviours? 🔵 Passing judgement can be easy to do but what's harder is judging fairly. What went well and what could be improved? I am lucky enough to be one of the judges looking at entries submitted for this year's SimplyIC Awards. 🔵 Internal communication is no easy job. There's always someone or even groups of stakeholders who have nothing but bad things to say about the communication they and other colleagues receive. 🔵 But how often do they consider the usual lack of resources, budget, and team members? How many people can cut diamonds with a pair of children's scissors from WHSmith? 🔵 I'm always amazed at the valiant efforts of the many hard working and committed internal communicators doing wonderful things in many different industries and environments. It's always a pleasure and never a chore. Looking forward to the ceremony at the end of November. #awards #simplys #internalcomms

TWELVE VALUES: ------------------ * Listen. And then listen some more. * Approach every day with curiosity and a sense of humor. * Address problems with practical solutions. * Give credit where credit is due. * Start projects worth finishing and then finish them with excellence. * Give more value than receiving in payment for services rendered. * Customize each training experience to meet specific needs. * Do the details with dignity. * Act with purpose and passion. * Paint all the way to the edge of the canvas. * Practice humility. * Gratitude for everything. Everything. --------------------------- These are the values embraced by The Freeman Institute -- https://lnkd.in/ehBB6xw

Job titles serve a purpose. Titles identify roles and responsibilities within an organization. Your title is what you do, not who you are. What defines you has been part of your story since birth. You are defined by things like your values, experiences, beliefs, motivators and other influences. What defines you is bigger than any title. Titles come and go. What defines you is constant. It was a thrill to present this webinar with my daughter Sara Heimlich, "Strategies to Build Your Professional Brand and Grow Your Career." If you are early in your professional career (or know someone who is), I hope you'll watch the recording. You should find these ideas very helpful. The presentation itself is only 32 minutes. We presented this for Tulane's Professional Development Series, though the lesson is for anyone. Here is the link: https://lnkd.in/dAn3QBXr
