The 644,000 domestic jobs that the United States has supported in the industrial bioeconomy contributed US$210 billion to the nation's gross domestic product and drove US$49 billion in wages. That adds up to a job multiplication factor of 12, which is over double the typical job multiplication factor for this sector! 🤯 Read more about how biofuels are changing the world in a positive way at https://bit.ly/3RMLa0K.

Oil remains essential in daily life and the broader economy. Beyond its role as a fuel, oil is vital in producing medicines, clothing materials, fertilisers, and medical devices. Even with the move toward renewable energy, oil continues to be fundamental to modern living. At Union Jack Oil, we believe that domestic hydrocarbon production not only bolsters the economy but also decreases dependence on imports. #UJO #Oil #Hydrocarbon

Interest in critical minerals is growing due to a shift toward alternative energy sources, potentially leading to increased demand for agricultural commodities. Sustainable aviation fuel, endorsed by major industry players and supported by government initiatives, may drive higher corn prices. This trend presents investment opportunities and could significantly impact the agricultural and energy sectors.

Continue readinghttps://lnkd.in/ggNkhe6J

"World Oil Statistics - Worldometer" https://lnkd.in/dJ4AJAbB PETROCHEMICALS & GLOBAL WARMING. CALL FOR MINDSHIFT. My dear friends and colleagues ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 🙏 It was in 1973 that IPCL (Now RIL ) Was commissioned. I was a Student Trainee in the XYLENES Plant for 3 months. Benzene, Toluene, Xylene, Butadiene, Ethylene, Propylene are some of these #petrochemicals which are building blocks of Polymers and called Monomers. I graduated in 1974. Petrochemicals are mainly derived from the #naptha fraction of Crude multi compartment distillation. I have shared that we have ONLY 47 years of Crude Oil LEFT. What THEN !!!?? #reclaim #recycle #reuse The intent behind E-WASTE PLASTICS group here on LinkedIn The #scenario of above has become very complex. It's 1 of my 10 polymer technologies on Polymer waste and unfortunately cannot be delegated. Shailendra Rai You are the General Manager incharge of remaining 9 Technologies. KEEP SHARING on LinkedIn #regularly I want you to share here on LinkedIn #recycling is the only way around. BIO POLYMERS Will they result in loss of BIODIVERSITY. People say "No" When I use my 5Ys principle, many don't go beyond the 2nd Why. Thus I cannot say a lot more about bioplastics. FRANKLY V need another Albert Einstein to create the theory of seawater relativity. MAKING Polymers out of seawater !!??? Am I Crazy !!? Am I right !!? "Aisa kuchh kar paayen, Yaadon mein bus jaayen " Maria Samija Will V attempt. SUNAYANA YOGESH MOTWANI Where are you. GOD !!!!!!!!

What makes the coal industry the most adventurous one ? Coal is relevant as it is the fuel for producing energy, and energy, today, is a global subject. Also, coal as a commodity moves across continents and countries globally, so any event or incident affects this industry almost immediately. Here are some of the specific reasons why the coal industry is among the most adventurous industries: - Coal is an indicator of the economic growth of a country, especially for Southeast Asian countries. If the consumption of coal in these countries in the given year goes up, it will clearly indicate that economic activities in these countries are going up as coal is used in the production of power, and therefore it depicts that more manufacturing has happened in the economies. - Secondly, a huge part of the coal industry is how the logistics of the coal are carried out. Coal is moved by dry bulk carriers, which are essentially large ships that are used to move coal from one country to another. The movement of these ships and the fluctuations in freight prices are a global phenomena. The entire gamut of shipping is very adventurous, as every day there is a new change. - Thirdly, I believe the entire supply chain of the coal industry is so huge that it employs millions of people all over the world. From people working in mines to people working in ports, the coal industry generates huge employment at different levels. - Lastly, I believe it is needed for the growth of the countries that are developing to have an accessible source of energy. It really ramps up the growth of the country and, ultimately, the economic prosperity of a nation. In the ever-changing world of commerce, the coal industry embodies adventure at every turn, shaping economies, livelihoods, and global trade routes. #CoalIndustry #CoalEnergy #GlobalTrade

Associate Director - Strategy & transactions - M&A @ Deloitte | Energy transition | My views are my own
Management consulting interviews are one of the craziest things you could ever ask for. One of my LinkedIn friends narrated this wild case study he was asked about in his interview. One needs to understand the question correctly. Problem statement: Estimate the annual quantity of urea produced by humans on Earth. Now, people from the fertilizer industry or green hydrogen sector would answer this without second thoughts: it’s 190-200 million tonnes in 2023. But this guy? He had a different answer altogether! Completely out of the box! It goes like this: • There are 8.2 billion people on the planet Earth. • On average, humans produce and urinate 800 - 2,000 milliliters of urine every day, averaging 1.5 liters per day. • Urine contains ~10 - 20 grams of urea per liter, so let’s say an average of 15 g/L. • So, 8.2 billion people urinating 12.3 billion liters of urine produce 184.5 million kg of urea per day. • That totals to 67.34 million tonnes of urea per year. He got placed, now leads the new energy business practice, and has recently resigned to start his own climate tech venture (may be green urea). I’m still wondering, will his business idea be funded by any VC? 🤔💼 Many great people are already working on some of the segments already. What do you think? Would you invest in his venture? 😄 #Venturecapital #VC #Climate #energytransition

if the tension in the middle east escalates oil will be scarce and expensive. they ll all rush for alternatives from corn, agricultural waste etc you name it. prices of inputs will increase and a buncnch of companies will go south like 10 years ago solazyme- terra nova, sapphyre, fermentalg. the cooking oil processes from neste, exxon chemicals will also have economic issues. what will be left? microalgae anx the happy few with a vision and an early start/investment, so this does naturally include vcs or those with a short term focus on today s prices. or else? the world needs entrepreneur minded folks to substitute fossils, not bean- counters. oder?
