A recent study @Cisco conducted on how employees and employers view #hybridwork arrangements has revealed some interesting insights. Despite a positive reception to the #returntooffice, about half (37%) of Filipino employees feel like their office spaces are no longer fit for purpose. This sheds light on the need for employers to re-imagine their workspaces as a hub for collaboration and connect people in new ways with the right connectivity, collaboration tools, and culture. Our latest study on workspaces reveals some interesting statistics on employees' shifting attitudes - particularly when it comes to recent return-to-office mandates. While 79% of companies in the region have instituted a full or partial return to the office, 71% of employers note a positive response from employees. However, it's worth noting that 64% of employees expressed concerns that their offices are not fully equipped to meet their needs, and 81% feel that their office layouts are not conducive to collaboration. These findings underscore the core expectations of employees on their physical workspace- they are asking for human interaction and connection. Collaboration, communication, and a sense of belonging are all pivotal components of an inclusive, fulfilling employee experience. These are aspects that our workplaces should ideally reflect, regardless of location. As employers, we must focus on adapting to changing employee requirements. This means investing in and enhancing technology that promotes collaboration and an inclusive work environment.
