Today marks the day when the Constitution of India, which was laughed at as the 'bulky document', 'elephantine size', 'bag of borrowings', and what not, has come into force.
It is not an easy task to write a document for a country as diverse as one can even imagine. To keep in mind the aspirations of every single sect of the nation and draft the constitution in a beautiful way as to trying to keep everything balanced is an art!
Thanks to all the constitutional makers, the people who contributed it.
Today, if the Supreme Court of India relies on anything, it is Constitution of India and it is even more surprising that, everyone in the country, despite their difference of opinions, agree to the Supreme Court of India.
Also, there is a saying as Dr. BR Ambedkar which he mentions - working of a Constitution does not depend on the document itself. It also depends on those who implement it!
If India is living in peace and harmony today, Indian Constitution is one of the pillars on which it is founded.
🇮🇳 Republic Day - The entire nation embarks on celebrating the spirit of India becoming a republic nation. Everyone knows this day as a remembrance of the Indian Constitution coming into force on 26th January 1950. And today marks the 75th Republic Day!
However, most of them do not know the real significance of this day just as the Constitution Makers and the Indian Leaders at the time of Independence and Freedom struggle know.
This day also marks the Poorna Swaraj Day, as declared by the Indian National Leaders. The day when we resolved to declare ourselves as 'Poorna Swaraj', in 1930.
Let us all come together as a nation, a successful democracy, the only young largest democracy that is surviving for a long without much struggles, and celebrate this occasion.

Curious about the Republic Day of India and its significance?
Read on.
On the 26th of January in 1950, India replaced the Government of India Act established by the British government in and replaced it with a carefully crafted constitution. Architects of a free India created this constitution after understanding our unique context of the time. It was, and still is, a symbol of sovereignty. It also established India as a secular, democratic, and sovereign nation with its laws that every citizen must follow.
This celebration is a reminder that getting to a stage where we have the freedom to define laws we need to abide by didn't come easily. It is also a chance to showcase our cultural diversity, military might, and the influence India carries on the international stage.
Republic Day fills us with a sense of gratitude towards the architects of the new India who created a foundation where democratic values of equality and inclusion could thrive. India is on a path of rapid and sustainable growth because of this strong foundation and the Republic Day is our way of showing that gratitude.
Happy Republic Day.

Why do Indians celebrate Republic Day?
Indians celebrate Republic Day on January 26th each year to mark the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1950. It was a historic moment that transformed the country into a sovereign, democratic republic, replacing the colonial Government of India Act (1935). Republic Day is not just a ceremonial observance; it holds deep symbolic significance as it signifies the culmination of efforts to establish a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
The day is a tribute to the visionaries who framed the Constitution, led by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and reflects the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. The celebration includes a grand military parade, showcasing the nation's defense capabilities, cultural displays, and the unfurling of the national flag. It serves as a reminder of India's unity in diversity and the commitment to democratic principles that form the backbone of the nation. Overall, Republic Day is a proud occasion for Indians to reflect on their constitutional heritage and celebrate the resilience and unity of the nation.
