🚚 Safety Reminder for Truckers: Check Your Fifth Wheel Connection! Hey Truckers, Safety, as always, is top priority. One check that can’t be overlooked is your fifth wheel connection. Always check, and then double-check your fifth wheel connection every single time you hook up or hit the road. A few quick reminders: 🔧 Visual Inspection Always take a moment to visually confirm the kingpin is properly seated in the fifth wheel. 🔒 Locking Jaws Ensure the locking jaws are fully closed around the kingpin. This is essential to prevent any unwanted detachments. 🚛 Pull Test Before hitting the highway, gently tug the tractor forward to make sure the trailer is securely locked in place. Stay vigilant with your fifth wheel checks to keep yourself safe and protect others on the road! 🚚🌞 #TruckerSafety #FifthWheelCheck #SummerSafety #LogisticsLife #PolarisLogisticsGroup

You have a duty as a driver... In a recent video posted on our page, we talked about the Move Over rule and how different states have implemented it. What exactly is the Move Over rule? When an emergency vehicle is pulled over to the side of the road with their sirens on, as a driver, it’s your duty to shift lanes and provide safe clearance for these essential vehicles. What type of emergency vehicles are part of the Move Over rule? Firetrucks Police Officers Ambulance Drivers And Tow Trucks… Now, nine states have expanded this law to include: Maintenance Workers and Construction Workers giving them the protection they deserve. Fun Fact: A handful of states go the extra mile, extending this rule to regular drivers. *This rule varies State to State* #MoveOverLaw #EmergencyVehicleSafety #LawyerLife #PersonalInjuryLaw #RoadSafety #KnowYourRights #LawyerTips #StaySafeOnTheRoad #PersonalInjuryLawyer #PILawyer

Safety is the top priority in the towing industry. Given the risks of handling heavy vehicles and navigating traffic, towing professionals must adhere to essential safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure operator and vehicle safety. It is essential for operators to wear appropriate gear. This includes high-visibility vests and durable work boots with slip-resistant soles to improve visibility and prevent slips. Helmets and gloves are crucial to protect against head injuries and hand abrasions, while eye protection is necessary when working with cables and machinery that may produce flying debris. Pedestrians face some of the gravest dangers on the road. They have no structural protections, as car drivers and passengers do, nor do they wear helmets, as motorcycle drivers should. There were 4,743 pedestrian deaths, and an estimated 76,000 were injured, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Pedestrians include people who walk, jog, hike, or run along the road. "At the crossroads of haste and safety, choose the path of caution—speeding through intersections can write a tragic story in seconds.” Speeding through intersections is a significant factor in traffic incidents. According to the Federal Highway Administration, speeding-related crashes often involve driving too fast for conditions or exceeding the posted speed limit. Speeding is a significant issue on the roads, especially at intersections. In 2022, speeding was involved in approximately one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities, contributing to 29% of traffic fatalities. On average, over 33 people lost their lives each day due to speeding-related crashes. Here are some key facts: 👉 12,151 people died in speeding-related incidents in 2022. 👉 52% of speeding passenger vehicle drivers in fatal crashes were not wearing seat belts. 👉 35% of male drivers aged 15-20 who were involved in fatal crashes were speeding. Speeding not only endangers the life of the speeder but also impacts everyone on the road, including law enforcement officers.
