What a manic start to the year, so grateful for the quality time I had over Christmas to make progress on a number of key strategic objectives for the Bellrock Group...
New two year People Strategy 2024-25 ✅
New Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy ✅
New talent acquisition plan to support planned growth ✅
New graduate programme with FIFTEEN grads joining our business ✅
Continued investment in talent through apprenticeships and our CMI-accredited Leadership centre ✅
And above all, an amazing People team to put it all into action ✅
Our new People Strategy in particular builds on the tremendous progress we have made over the past 3 years building a new employee value proposition to better attract, retain, develop and reward our colleagues. When I sat down to write our original Strategy, I thought our vision should be something that defined how successful we had been at being an employer of choice. I scribbled on a post it note that 'we should aim to be an organisation that people choose to join and be part of the Bellrock family for a long time'. Stuck it on my monitor, and 3 weeks later decided I couldn't improve on that sentiment. After all, it is the ultimate indicator of success... if you invest in your people, reward them for their hard work, treat them respectfully, give the opportunities to grow... then people will want to join you and then never feel the need to leave 🏆
