Chief Business Transformation Officer Evsye Group (I help business to grow & develop High Performing Organisations through Turnaround, Transformation, Growth strategy, Digitisation & Process Excellence)
Károly Takács, the famous pistol shooter of Hungarian Army was determined to win gold medal in Olympics. In 1936 he was banned to participate because only commissioned officers were allowed. He didn’t give up but tried to learn different shooting skills in army. This prohibition was lifted in Hungary after the Berlin Games & Karoly had expectations of success at the 1940 Olympics. In 1938, when a grenade exploded, he lost his right hand. The passion didn’t die. With the determination of winning, he started practicing with the left hand. He practiced in secret, surprising his countrymen when he won the Hungarian national pistol shooting championship in 1939. But the goal to win Olympic was yet to be fulfilled . He was struggling for Olympics. But Olympic scheduled for 1940 got cancelled for world war. Still he didn't give up. The 1944 Olympics again got cancelled due to the World War 2 . He didn’t give up. He surprised the world by winning gold medal at 1948 Olympics. The success story didn't end here. Again in 1952 Olympics he own the gold medal. Many people give up or change the goal of life when they fail. Changing goal or leaving goal, you can not pursue your vision. Change your strategy to achieve the Goal when it’s difficult. Success is not blocked by failure. Success is next to failure. Pandemic created lots of huddles in life, but success is not blocked. You can achieve your goal better with the learning from failure. Failure is the pillar of success. hashtag #successisnexttofailure #success #changestrategytopursuegoal #bouncebacktoachievegoal

DON'T GIVE UP In 1938, Karoly Takacs of the Hungarian Army was the top pistol shooter in the world & was expected to win the gold in the 1940 Tokyo Olympic Games. Couple of months before the games, a hand grande while practicing with Army exploded in Takacs', blowing off his shooting hand. It was depressing to loose the dream, it could have led him to quit. But, he thought about what he has with him left hand, incredible mental toughness. Why not? For months he practiced with his left hand, and people were not aware what was he upto. In 1939 he showed up at the Hungarian National Pistol Shooting. His competitors congratulated him on his strength to watch, but he competed & won the competition. The 1940 & 1944 Olympics were called off due to World War but he kept practicing. He qualified for 1948 London Olympics. World’s best shooters were competing with their best hands but Takacs competed with his only hand. At 38, Takacs won the Gold Medal & set a new world record in pistol shooting. Four years later, Takacs won the Gold Medal again at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. Takacs – a man with the mental toughness to bounce back from anything. Next time you get knocked down, DECIDE you will act like a winner, like Takacs. Get up quickly, take action, and astound the world! #dontgiveup #peoplefirst #takeaction #getupquickly #mentaltoughness #bounceback #bounceforward #feetforward #inyourhand #inyourcorner #performancemanagement #ownyourperformance

Congrats Tatjana Smith and Alan Hatherly on bringing in our first 2 medals for South Africa at the Olympics 2024. You’ve made us proud. As the saying goes, "The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary." 🏅 **From Olympic Gold to Corporate Success: The Power of Dedication and Hard Work** 🏅 Achieving an Olympic medal is the pinnacle of dedication and hard work. It requires relentless effort, unwavering focus, and a commitment to excellence that transcends boundaries. As we witness the incredible feats of athletes on the world stage, we are reminded of the parallels between their journey and the pursuit of success in the corporate world. In both arenas, success is not simply handed out—it is earned through perseverance and tenacity. Athletes devote countless hours to training, pushing their limits, and overcoming obstacles to reach their goals. Similarly, in the corporate world, individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, resilience, and a willingness to go the extra mile often stand out and achieve remarkable success. Just as athletes strive for perfection in their sport, professionals in the business world must constantly seek ways to improve, innovate, and excel in their respective fields. The qualities that set Olympic medalists apart—discipline, determination, and a never-give-up attitude—are the same traits that drive individuals to achieve greatness in their careers. So, whether you're chasing Olympic glory or climbing the corporate ladder, remember that success is not a destination but a journey. Embrace challenges, stay committed to your goals, and let your dedication and hard work propel you forward. Here's to striving for excellence in all that we do! 🌟 #OlympicMindset #Dedication #HardWork #Success #CorporateWorld #Perseverance #Excellence

Athletes need to feel supported and protected when speaking up. This requires systems change, a cultural change in the daily training environment so that they can feel safe and supported to speak. But in addition, to get to this place we need to support and educate our coaches to know how to create these health promoting and safe environments for their athletes. We also need to equip coaches with the skills, capabilities and confidence to speak up when they are unsure or need further guidance when managing athlete health and wellbeing issues in sport. I do not believe bad behavior is ever acceptable - but I know for the most, our coaches want to do the right thing but are just not equipped with the necessary understanding, knowledge, skills and capabilities. 2024; a cultural revolution in sport.

A quick snapshot here of one of my life's biggest passions table tennis! 🏓 I'm not an active tournament player anymore, but the passion and intensity from table tennis has definitely transferred to my path of entrepreneurship. A few people say today that we shouldn't seek or follow our passions... that we should focus on developing a skill and over time your passion in that area will begin to build. But I say, follow the things that you are curious and passionate about... and in doing so your skill will raise. Your passion and confidence will increase. And that passion - confidence intensity can be applied to other things that you pursue in your life... hobbies, sports, career, business, etc.
