We are now taking applications for the research grant programme of the EPP Group in the European Parliament. The grant programme aims to support early stage academics, including masters and doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers who completed their doctorate degree no more than three years prior to the date of submission of the application. Research proposals should focus on the history, role and impact of Christian Democracy, and in particular of the EPP Group in the European Parliament, in the process of European integration. The future of #Europe depends on robust, open and free science and education Ahead of the European elections, the presidents of all national #academies of science in EU member states are calling for the open and free nature of #science to be nurtured and strengthened. This can be done by minimising barriers to scientific collaboration and protecting academic freedom and autonomy. They also advocate strengthening the EU Framework Programme. Today, I officially began my stay as a 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid! For the next 4 months, I will collaborate with Prof. 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫í𝐚 𝐑𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐫í𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐳 of the Political Science Department. Our goal is to gain further insight into the relationship between anti-representative discourse by ruling elites, the institutionalization of political parties, and the citizens' attitudes towards the latter. #populism #politicalscience #researchstudy
