We just hosted $G3 IDO and Private Sale, raising $1M in the process! The $G3 token was widely distributed with very high levels of participation across the two sales. As of yesterday, $G3 was officially launched into the world and is now spread to almost 9,000 self-custodial wallets. The $G3 and $POLS communities were also rewarded for their loyalty with a $G3 airdrop. This was an overwhelming success and also contributed to the wide dispersion of the $G3 token. Over 7,000 $POLS holders were eligible for phase one of the airdrop, making up a large portion of the initial $3.3m distribution. And this was just the phase one... 📊 Truflation IDO 📊 We also supported Truflation for their IDO less than one week ago. That IDO was incredibly sought after and the full allocation of $200k sold out seconds after the sale moved to FCFS mode. 🔥News Review: The creators of the "fake" NFT BAYC will pay Yuga Labs $9 million. The creators of the "fake" NFT BAYC have been ordered to pay Yuga Labs $9 million in a trademark infringement case. Artist Ryder Ripps and Not Larva Labs NFT Marketplace founder Jeremy Caen were found guilty of issuing and selling "counterfeit" tokens that devalued the original Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collection. The court upheld Yuga Labs' claims of trademark infringement and ordered the defendants to pay $8.9 million in damages, including legal fees and other expenses. This decision comes after Yuga Labs announced a staff restructuring and layoffs, with a focus on their meta-universe Otherside. 🔄 Dencun update deployed in Ethereum testnet Sepolia. Ethereum developers have successfully implemented the Dencun (Deneb-Cancun) hardfork in the ecosystem's second test network, Sepolia. The update includes EIP-4844, which introduces a Proto-Danksharding option aimed at scaling the network by creating a new transaction type for large binary data sets (BLOBs). This is expected to significantly reduce fees for L2-based Rollups solutions. The update is set to be deployed to the third testnet, Holesky, on February 7, with the date of the hardfork in the main network to be determined thereafter. ⚠️ FTX will fully reimburse customers for their funds, but a relaunch is not on the table. The bankrupt FTX exchange intends to fully reimburse customers, but a relaunch of the platform is not being considered. Lawyers are set to present a detailed reimbursement plan in February. FTX's lawyer, Andrew Dietderich of Sullivan & Cromwell, stated that the team has abandoned the plan to relaunch the platform under the tentative name FTX 2.0 after a comprehensive restructuring effort. Dietderich also mentioned that FTX 2.0 was a disappointment for the team, as the company still possesses valuable customer data and information that can be monetized. Over 3,000 #BTC were moved into Merlin Chain over bridges and converted into M-BTC in 48 hours. M-Token is a validation for the assets users have staked before. After the Merlin's Seal event (a launch campaign for its governance token $MERL) ends (expected to be the end of April), users can exchange M-Token for the original assets at a 1:1 ratio. Compared to assets staked on L1, M-Token on L2 has more use cases, including opportunities to participate in Merlin’s future airdrops. Following the M-Token’s launch, many projects in the Merlin Chain ecosystem have announced token launch plans or major updates one after another, vying for the inflow of liquidity, including Merline’s first Runes asset $RUFI, DEX project MerlinSwap, and gaming project Dragonverse Neo. Merlin’s TVL has reached $3.73 billion, of which $2.4 billion is BTC assets. The liquidity war in the #Bitcoin ecosystem has kicked off, but the overall liquidity in the market is not ample. We expect capital to flow back and forth among different projects depending on the incentives. How to retain capital within its ecosystem and grow it will be a question for all projects.
