Great insights shared at Lowenstein Sandler LLP's #VentureCrush Panel with Afsane Jetha, Marlon Nichols, and Ed Zimmerman yesterday. Here are a few of my takeaways: Pre-mortems as a tool to play defense: Afsane Jetha's teams don't wait for events to happen and do post-mortems. She plans for chaos and figures out how to rise above the noise before events happen.    Importance of a strong salesperson on the founding team: Whether it is bringing in new customers, selling new hires on joining the firm or being able to pitch to VCs, having someone who can pitch on all different levels is key.   Beware of the "business judgement rule"-- especially if you are considering a down-rounds. Ed Zimmerman warned that taking down rounds or making major decisions without considering this, can lead to significant legal trouble in the future, especially Delaware C-Corps.  Definitely something to keep in mind. #venturecrush #vc #privateequity
